"I love pushing myself beyond limits, learning new skills, and connecting with the natural world in hands-on ways. Every challenge is an opportunity to grow, and I’m excited to bring that spirit to the Drift South Expedition—to learn, adapt, and help share the river’s story with others."

My Story

Trevor serves as the Safety Lead for the Drift South Expedition, bringing a strong background in wilderness travel, logistics, and risk management. With thousands of backcountry miles under his belt—including a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail—he’s no stranger to navigating extreme physical and mental challenges. Trevor’s outdoor resume includes a decade of traditional lead climbing, work with professional arborists, blacksmithing, backcountry hunting, and hands-on craftsmanship learned from mentors and self-guided study.

He has coordinated and supported group expeditions in challenging environments, applying a calm, deliberate approach to everything from emergency response planning to morale-building during hard days. His extensive field experience is paired with a natural ability to stay composed under pressure, make thoughtful decisions in real-time, and keep team dynamics strong when it matters most.

Whether it’s navigating swiftwater conditions, managing camp logistics, or simply knowing when someone needs a break, Trevor’s presence is a grounding force. His commitment to preparation, safety, and shared responsibility plays a vital role in the success of this Mississippi River journey.
