Our 2025 Project

We understand finding the time to get to that one spot can be difficult. If it's along the Mississippi River we can get the samples. Be they water quality, social questionnaire, or anything in the realm of environmental science- we can help!

Our Base Sampling project will record data that a citizen scientist could take themselves.

Our project will utilize social media to increase visibility of our partners and our mission, "a Mississippi River classroom for citizen science and adventure with DIY experiments, activism, ecology, and silly objects on the river."

DSE's mission, the mission of our partners, and the health of the Mississippi river deserve local attention. Our project will use local media to give attention to these project to the people directly associated with the Mississippi River.

We want a chance to engage directly with the public. The opportunity for direct story telling, engaging with educational materials, and another means for fundraising is essential. 

Camp One Step and the nonprofits benefiting the Mississippi River are our priority. All interactions will be an opportunity to gain money for meaningful causes, and there will be a lot of people to meet.

Clean water and river health are at risk—federal oversight is shrinking while pollution and flooding grow. At Drift South Expedition, we believe targeted, community-driven policy can fill the gaps where funding and enforcement fall short. Explore how our data, local voices, and advocacy efforts are shaping meaningful legislation across the Mississippi River corridor.
